Professional Experience and Expertise 

Gizem Taştemel has more than 10 years of experience in investigations and digital forensics. She works as a Manager in Forensic & Integrity Services at Cerebra.  

Gizem Taştemel conducts and manages investigations related to allegations of fraud, bribery, and corruption. She has carried out fraud risk management projects in companies and has experience in determining company-specific fraud risks and controls. In addition, she specializes in the examination and analysis of evidence on digital devices and leads the digital forensics practice at Cerebra.  

Gizem Taştemel has a strong focus on electronic data review (device imaging, document review, and production, chain of custody management, data inventory, and destruction exercise). She manages teams of various professionals and ensures the coordination between the different teams of clients, counsels, and forensic practitioners. She also has worked closely with international law firms and Turkish corporations to assist with their complex multijurisdictional e-discovery projects and regulatory investigations.  

She oversees evidence gathering, electronic discovery, data analytics analysis, interviews of key witnesses, email reviews, analysis of financial transactions and documentation, identifying company-specific fraud risks and implementing preventive or detective controls, performs forensic analysis of large volumes of documents, including electronic mail, accounting, and financial documents, conducting interviews, and writing a report with technical supporting evidence.
