Anti-Corruption Day Event by Transparency International Türkiye

Transparency International brought together important names at Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus with the theme “Common Steps for Transparency” at the event organized within the scope of “December 9th International Anti-Corruption Day.” 

In the event organized by Transparency International Türkiye, digitalization and accountability in the business world were discussed in two different panels.In the first panel, “The Search for Transparency in a Digitalizing World”, the importance of the concept of transparency for individuals and institutions in the age of technological transformation was emphasized. While technological innovations facilitate access to information, they also increase the need for responsibility and accountability. 

The second panel, “Business and Accountability in the Light of ESG Principles”, discussed the importance of environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles in the business world and their impact on companies’ accountability processes. The panel focused on the challenges companies face in achieving their sustainability goals, the role of ESG compliance in long-term value creation and ways to increase stakeholder trust. 

“The ideas discussed will create a new roadmap for the business world and society” 

Fikret Sebilcioğlu, Managing Partner of Cerebra, made the following statement after the event: “On this meaningful day, we had an important exchange of ideas to take stronger steps for transparency and accountability. These discussions, where we discussed the responsibilities as well as the opportunities brought by digitalization and ESG principles, not only raised awareness, but also inspired concrete solutions for a more transparent and sustainable business world of the future. I believe that the ideas discussed here today will create a new roadmap for the business world and society.”
